CHAUSSURES TERRA GTX POUR FEMMES

I bought the boots about two years ago and wear them almost daily in all weather: dry weather, rain, snow, etc. I expected some wear, but after about a year, the leather began to split and separate where it connects to the rubber sole. The separation is especially visible near the widest part of the foot (on both boots). There are now gaping holes in the sides, through which sticks or rocks have entered, puncturing the lining. These are no longer waterproof whatsoever.

Through the life of the boots, I have used appropriate leather conditioner and tried to keep them clean. I suspect my continuous wear may have caused them to stay moist too long and allowed for degradation of the leather. However, I hoped they wouldn't fail in such a catastrophic way, because I genuinely like the fit and feel of these boots, but I am going to have to replace them too soon.
