Perfect fit. Lighter weight than I expected. Did a 3 mile walk on the treadmill just to make sure there was no chafing or pinching etc. They're perfect, no issues.

These boots are exactly what I was looking for. The boot feel is light & agile. The upper protects the ankle without the bulk of a heavy padded collar. I usually wear an 11.5, I went with the 45.5(11.7) so, a little extra room in the toe box(recommend) the 11.5 would have had a tiger more precise fit if you want that in your approach shoes. Great boots, gore-tex throughout. Nice model.

Great Boots. I normally wear a 11.5, I went with the 45.5(11.7) they fit perfect. I really like the mid height, protective around the ankles does not have the bulky padding which I like, but does extend the waterproofing. The boot is also lighter weight than anticipated. Super comfortable. Happy I went with them.

I think I've finally found a better replacement for my old Scarpa Tech Ascents. I wore these on a 3 day, 28 mile, 7800' of elevation gain backpack + summit of Mt Oso in the Weminuche Wilderness in CO. Enough support for my backpack, albeit a lite one at 25lb. Handled off-trail and easier climbing no problem. Great boot. Will get another pair. Note that I have bought MANY Scarpas over the years because they do have a widish forefoot. These thankfully hold true to that standard.

Overall, a good approach shoe.
The sole is really soft and has alot of flex compared to the older Scarpa approach shoes. With a weighted pack on you feel every rock under your foot, creating foot fatigue. On climbs you can’t stabilize on your toes like a stiffer soled approach shoe. If Scarpa stepped these up with a better sole, they would be great.
