Pour une longue randonnée, cette chaussure est faite pour vous grâce à sa doublure imperméable en GORE-TEX et à sa tige mi-haute pour une protection accrue de la cheville. Si la journée vous invite à grimper sur des blocs et des dalles, vous apprécierez la semelle extérieure Vibram® ultra-adhérente et la semelle intermédiaire double densité qui amortissent vos pieds sur les terrains difficiles. Et oui, comme le suggèrent son profil et sa construction hautement respirante, cette chaussure ne reculera pas devant une ou deux sorties occasionnelles sur sentier, offrant un soutien optimal si vous décidez de prendre le long chemin du retour.

    Ultimate approach shoe for a climbing day

    I’ve taken the Scarpa Rapid Mid GTX on a few big mountain days, and they’ve handled everything—wet trails, rocky scrambles, even some light snow. The grip is solid, and my feet stay dry without overheating. They’re light enough for long approaches but still give my ankles the support I need with a full pack. Honestly, I don’t think twice about wearing them.

    Surprisingly comfortable

    Don’t get me wrong, I love scarpa shoes. These exceeded my expectations for comfort. I’m typically a 46 but I’ve found gtx shoes run a bit snug so I went 47, perfect fit.

    Mid GTX

    I like them. Great approach boot, securing the ankles and easy to break in. It is easy to attach a OR gaiter to the boots.

    Just a Little Breaking in

    I’ve never worn approach shoes before, but I bought these as I am planning a hike with some steep class 3+ scrambling on a 10 mile hike. I wanted grippy all terrain shoes with ankle support, and the Rapid Mid GTX fits the bill. They did require a short break-in hike or two, but they fit well, are comfortable, and lightweight. My feet have stayed dry in mud and water. They differ from full on hiking shoes as they have no padding on the tongue or around the foot but that’s the way they are designed to get a good snug fit.
