RAPID LT HOMMES

My all time favorite shoe was the old Rapid LT, after some revisions this one is now my new favorite. The roomy toe box makes these an easy all day pic. The sole has the right amount of sensitivity; not too soft where you can use them on rocky approaches but not too hard where you loose all feeling smearing. The little details like the stitching, finger loop to get them on and ridged rear all add up to an amazing shoe.

The Rapid is my go to 'do it all' shoe. A true test of an approach shoe for me is how comfortable I feel jetting up and down the Rainbow Wall slabs in them and these truly pass the test with flying colors. I feel confident enough in their 'stick' to boulder hop through a wash or walk up and down slabby terrain with a big pack. They are also comfortable for a long approach or just wearing at the crag all day. Sizing wise, I usually wear a 39-39.5 in SCARPA climbing shoes and wear a 39.5 in the Rapids.

I ordered these because I wanted replacements for Merells, which I’ve worn for 20+years. Our daughter has been wearing your brand for years. These fit better and are more comfortable-sole is stiffer than a running shoe but not as unyielding as my previous brand. I haven’t taken them off since I got them last week. Omfortable and supportive. Easy to live with. Sizing perfect. I wear a 12 1/2, which is a tough size to find.
