    The ultimate high-altitude boot!

I used the Scarpa Phantom 6000 boots to climb Aconcagua, and they were phenomenal. The double-boot design kept my feet warm in subzero temperatures, and the fit was incredibly comfortable even on long summit pushes. The Vibram sole provided excellent traction on ice and rocky terrain, and they paired perfectly with my crampons. Despite the demanding conditions, the boots held up beautifully.

If you’re heading to high altitudes or extreme cold, these boots are worth every penny. Reliable, durable, and designed for performance, highly recommend!

    Perfect for Aconcagua

Aconcagua will take a pair of 6000M boots to their limits. No need for technical work during December on Aconcqua. However, there is *great* need for warmth and durability. The Phantom 6000's delivered to perfection. My feet remained comfortable in the early morning hours on summit day with 1 pair of thick mountaineering socks. No liners, no foot warmers needed. For my feet, the P6000's were far more comfortable in the Scarpas than in the Italiian competitor's offering.

Walking down Aconcagua is HARD on footware (so much screen and rock)! I would not have been surprised if the descent had completely torn up a pair of boots, but the Scarpa's were literally unscathed. Tough as nails.

    Phantom 6000 HD 2023

The new Phantom 6000 is a great double boot with a minimal liner that doesn't compromise feel for warmth. After using foot warmers every day out ice climbing for 15 years in - 15 celsius or warmer, I remedied the situation by purchasing the Phantom 6000 HD. These boots are a dream for those who get 'cold feet', or guides who spend a lot of time instructing, I only felt a touch of cold once or twice around -12 celsius. I'm only reluctant to toss my old La Sportive Women's insulated ice boots because they've so much history and sentiment. At half the weight of my old boots there's only one question, why wouldn't you upgrade? Thanks Scarpa for making such a great boot. I'm size 6.5-7 women's and ordered a USw7.

    I Love This Boot

This boot has been perfect for me in every way. It's been plenty warm for my ice climbing outings and has allowed me to efficiently climb. This boot fits my foot perfect and when standing around in Hylite or Ouray I am never uncomfortable. I am glad they upgraded the zipper last year from the wrap around ankle zipper to the offset zipper in the front. Highly recommend this boot

    Heckin Awesome

My feet give me no end of trouble after some frost injury during my winter solo of the Directe Super Couloir on the Mont Blanc du Tacul in 2011 I’m rather cold sensitive so I wear double boots in Colorado. Moving up to the new Phantom 6000 these boots had a slipper like fit out of the box with zero break in. The dry suit zipper closure has been cleaned up considerably since the prior model and even when plowing through deep powder on single digit days my feet have stayed warm. For climbing these boots actually approach my Rebel Ice in technical acuity M7 WI5+ no problem so these boots have me thinking about the Grandes Jorasses all over again.
