CARBON CORE SHELL + CUFF

UPDATED LAST

A new 102mm wide last provides more performance and comfort. The widest part of the shell is now located further back on the lateral side of the foot, near the “sixth toe” providing more comfort in a critical area for a lot of feet. To further enhance fit and performance, the toe box and heel pocket have been reshaped to provide a significant increase in both precision and responsiveness compared to previous versions. More comfort, more performance!

SCARPA Ski Sizing Chart

All SCARPA ski boots use Mondo sizing.

SCARPA ski boots break on the half size, this means that a half size shares the same shell length as the whole size above it but the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. For example, a 25.5 and 26.0 are the same shell size but the respective liners come pre-molded to the half size.

Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

    My go-to boot…

I’m on my third pair of these and each previous model has lasted me about 100-ish-days of personal and professional use. The newest model has a tighter heel cup, but once it broke in that didn’t change the sizing for me, although initially it was hard to get the boot on. This generation has better buckles, which tighten well across different parts of my foot. I drive big skis (112-114 underfoot) with these boots and they have a great mix of stiffness and flex. The new locking mechanism which adjusts walk mode to ski mode is significantly better and rarely misses as previous generations often did. I highly recommend this boot for all backcountry applications. If the boot fits…

Slightly different fit but still the same great Maestrale RS

I have been skiing the Maestrale RS For 5 years now. I work as a guide for CMS and typically put >100 days per year on the boot. I find that the boot have a perfect balance between flexibility and comfort when touring and ski ability when going down hill. I use this boot in all types of conditions including steep skiing, pow skiing and even inbounds resort skiing. The new version of the RS sizing did change a bit. They lowed the instep from the previous model so I had to go up in size. Over all its a great B/C boot that does it all.

The best AT boot just got better!

I am a full-time mountain guide at the Colorado Mountain School, and have been using Scarpa boots exclusively for 8 years now. The Maestrale line has long been the best ski boot, and the updates made on this year's model are much appreciated. A built-in booster strap, stiffer boot, and the comfort-yet-performance fit make this boot a 5-star boot. Highly recommended for all ski touring!

One of the all time greats!

This boot has been around for a long time, and seen different iterations over time. What has stayed the same though, is the inherent quality, fit, versatility, and performance. It's the flag bearer for a do-it-all touring boot, with the right combination of stiffness, ankle cuff rotation, and downhill performance. Using this as a Mountain Guide for Colorado Mountain School, I always feel great about recommending this boot when friends and guests come to me for recommendations.

Scarpa Maestrale RS: A Guide's Choice

As a Colorado Mountain School guide, I spend countless hours on the mountain, and the Scarpa Maestrale RS has become an indispensable tool in my kit. This boot strikes an exceptional balance between performance and comfort, making it ideal for demanding technical terrain and long days on the slopes.

The Maestrale RS offers incredible precision and response, allowing me to confidently navigate challenging lines and make precise movements. The flex is stiff enough to handle the rigors of guiding, yet it remains comfortable and forgiving for all-day wear. The intuitive buckle system is easy to adjust, even with gloves on, ensuring a secure and customized fit.

One of the standout features of this boot is its exceptional walk mode. The cuff easily switches into a relaxed position, making hiking to remote zones effortless. The Vibram sole provides excellent traction on icy approaches, and the overall lightweight design minimizes fatigue during long days on the mountain.

In conclusion, the Scarpa Maestrale RS is a top-tier ski boot that excels in both performance and comfort. Its versatility, durability, and precision make it a reliable choice for mountain guides and dedicated skiers alike.
