Best boot i have ever owned

I have two pairs of these and i absolutely love them. I am a lineman and use them as my work boot. They are the best boot i have ever used for climbing poles. If i am going to be up a pole for hours there is no other boot i would rather have. Great arch support, and very durable. As far as a work boot goes they are little warrm but nothing i cant deal with. plus i work in the mojave desert frequently so anything is warm out there. They take me about a week of working in them to break them in. I wear them 60 hours a week on average and the boot itself is holding great as i am coming up on the two year mark. the insert has warn out but i just replaced that and now the tread is wearing down but i think i can get another year out of them. I use my second pair for light mountaineering and backpacking . I use them much less than the pair i work in and they are going to last forevefr as near as i can tell. waterproofing is great, support is great. When im hiking through tallus or moraine my feet feel very very safe secure and well protected. I highly reccomend this boot.

Finally a comfortable, quality, and aggressive mountaineering boot for high volume feet.

I've had these boots for two years and used them extensively for mountain big game and upland bird hunting in late summer to late spring. Break in took about a month of use , I also use a custom footbed. They fit my EE feet wonderfully and keep my feet warm and dry in heavy wet snow, soaked grass, and peanut butter mud. The tread pattern is wonderful for most terrain but shines on wet rocks including granite and limestone. I'm getting close to a resole but will probably also buy another set of these to have as back ups given how great these uppers are.

    Solid

I exchanged boots for full size larger because I use extra socks and need extra room for steep incline/decline on elk hunting trips. Worried about stiffness, but I found that the ankle flexion was good and the stiff sole relieved me of foot fatigue from pushing off toes. Good anatomical design, cinched up nice, no blisters or hot spots in heel, toe box, or shin. Light weight, well-constructed, not worried about pulling the liner out with my foot or splitting the sole under the ball of my foot. Confident these will serve me well on 10-day back country trip in the rockies.

    Scarpa Grand Dru GTX

These boots are the toughest boot I have ever owned. From hunting to working in them everyday, they have lasted a year and a half and still going. Fifty percent of tread is still there. I will not buy another brand of boot.

    Fine job Scarpa…
