    First time buyer

I’ve worn Haix for the past 5 years and I am impressed so far by the Scarpa Fuego. The fit wear are great. The boots are not bulky or heavy the only issue I’ve had was the break in. Haix doesn’t require a break in period so definitely need to break them in before driving or running equipment. The ankle flex is very limited being a new boot. Would definitely recommend them so far to people who like the Haix and are looking for something different. Sizing was appropriate to recommendations.

Great wildland boot, especially for wider feet and needing extra ankle support

Started using the Fuegos in 2018. They’ve been extremely comfortable and provide the ankle support that I need. They’ve handled multiple terrains across the U.S. and hold up well to high temperatures and water. As well as they’re made, the outsole has never lasted more than a season and a half at most Despite that, they provide everything I need for fighting fire.

    Great boot

Very impressed. High quality, and great fit. Will take some time to break in but will make a great fire/everyday boot. Only disappointment is they aren’t rebuildable

    Excellent Wildfire Boot!

Over the years working fire in Canada I've gone through many different boots on the fire line. Just picked these up last season and they're incredible! Little stiff to break in but just walked through a couple swamps to soften them up and that really help! Looking around at morning briefing these and the Wrangell GTX were the most common boot, I see why! Super comfy boot but I have a few comments about the fitting. They have quite a flat heel-toe drop, so if you're use to a boot with a higher heel you'll notice how much further your heel "falls" with every step, but you get use to that. I wear a 10.5 VANS, 10 Merrell and should have sized down on these boots. I got the 44 but definitely should have gone with the 43. If my current ones ever wear out I'll get a 43 next time. They're quite waterproof.... until the water comes over the top, then they take for ever to dry! Even on a forced air (non-heated) drier. Also pick up some extra laces. Broke both laces in under two weeks. Not the lightest boot either but I could totally see myself using this as a rugged hiking/hunting boot. Overall, excellent boot for wildland firefighting and I've been recommending them to all my wildfire buddies.

    Great boots for wildland fire!

Bought these boots for my first season of wildland firefighting and have been loving them so far. They were recommended to me by several seasoned firefighters and so far they've been great. Very comfortable and fit my feet really well. They definitely don't breathe well though (being full leather and all), so make sure you wear them with good quality socks so that your feet don't die of too much moisture. Otherwise I have found them relatively easy to break in and comfy to wear all day at work.
