SCARPA Ski Sizing Chart

All SCARPA ski boots use Mondo sizing.

SCARPA ski boots break on the half size, this means that a half size shares the same shell length as the whole size above it but the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. For example, a 25.5 and 26.0 are the same shell size but the respective liners come pre-molded to the half size.

Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

    Why no BOA ?

Have been using F1 boots for years and updated with F1 XT this year. XT is a great boot in regards to weight and overall touring feeling but lacking BOA for lower boot it's such a BIG miss. During touring you realize it's getting too tight and if you want to release the pressure, it becomes too loose. So, for safety, you have to just "suck it up". That's why a BOA system it's supposed to do. Hard to understand the thinking behind going backwards and not providing BOA. Such a pitty for lacking BOA !

THE boot to go far and actually rip the descents.

When you want to march right past all the others to shred those lines that are a little deeper, the F1 XT is the boot. It tours like a beefier skimo boot, climbs water ice 4 no problem, transitions with one lever and an optional though helpful legit booster strap. It descends markedly better than the F1 LT with a negligible weight penalty of about 50g I believe. I have tested it on many ski sizes and feel its best paired with 170 x 80 to 180x 102. If it fits you well it will even drive 182 x 110. It seems like it fits average to narrower feet. The heal is a bit roomy for my super low-volume feet but some heal pads make it stick. Comfy Intuition tour pro liner lasts. The F1 XT is the boot for long missions where nobody's home and big technical and committing lines.

    Upgrade from LT

I got this boot this year instead of the LT and it has been a great boot. I like that they did away with the boa system in the front and it seems to be a warmer boot than the LT, at least for me it has but it may be because we've had a mild winter. That said overall it's a great boot and I am a smaller person and once I am ready to ski I don't feel like I have been overworked.

Nice addition to the F1 family

I previously had the F1 lt boot. It was a great boot but I found it did not have much of a progressive flex. That is not the case with the F1 xt. I also like that Scarpa did away with the Boa. It feels a little bit more secure up front. One thing I miss from the F1 lt is the upper Velcro strap closure system…but the buckle is not to bad. Overall it is a great boot.
