PRESSURE ABSORBING FIT (PAF) SYSTEM
AF (Pressure Absorbing Fit) is an innovative heel system that helps both spread the force of the heel tension and increase the fit of the heel. The Active Rand rubber is interrupted behind the heel to reduce pressure on the achilles tendon and connected with 2mm XS GRIP2 rubber, that works like a bridge and allows full adaption to the shape of the heel while still providing dynamic forward pressure to focus power over the big toe. The holes on the side of the heel indicate the tension applied, which varies between 1 hole for light tension, 2 holes for mid tension and 3 holes for strong tension.
SURROUND RUBBER TENSION (SRT)
SRT is a layer of our ultra-soft M50 rubber that wraps around the forefoot and translates the power directly to the tips of the toes. It also provides maximum friction and sensitivity for toe-hooking. Climbing with soft shoes improves one’s climbing style and naturally strengthens toe power. The total freedom of foot placement stimulates a faster and more dynamic movement on rock or plastic.

I think these climb very comparable to dragos. Really great for a narrow foot with a skinny ankle bc of the laces. Really flexible sole and comfy level of touch and volume combined. I both boulder and lead in these shoes in a gym.
My first pair did split open in 2 months and get sent to the resoler and I bought new ones. We’ll see how long these last.

I love this shoe! I needed a "soft" shoe that did well on slab and volumes aswell as small jibs when I needed the confidence to stand straight up. AND THEY LOOK FLYYYY!!

Just hit my 5th session with these bad girls. This shoes is amazing. Was a big fan of the drago but always found it to be just a pinch to soft. This shoe is the perfect inbetween for that.

This shoe is a great fit between the drago and instinct. I’m primarily a VSR user and the chimera is a great addition. The shoe feels incredibly sensitive, I can really feel what I’m standing on and be confident smearing or really digging into a foothold on an overhang. Slowly becoming my new favorite shoe. It’s soft, yet has enough stiffness to really generate power when you need to. For reference, my street shoe is 43, I ordered a 41.5 which is the same I wear in the instinct for a performance fit. Barely required any break in and really molds to your foot for comfort. You won’t regret giving these a shot!

I use this shoe for sport climbing, bouldering, and climbing at the gym. Works well on everything! Feels softer and more sensitive than a lot of other shoes. As far as sizing, it feels more snug than most other shoes.
