Each unique configuration is engineered for effortless precision delivering a connected, fast, customized, and durable fit, and is backed by The BOA® Guarantee. SCARPA Ski Sizing Chart

All SCARPA ski boots use Mondo sizing.

SCARPA ski boots break on the half size, this means that a half size shares the same shell length as the whole size above it but the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. For example, a 25.5 and 26.0 are the same shell size but the respective liners come pre-molded to the half size.

Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

    Best performance race boot

I have had previous versions of this race boot and this new model was a little hard for my high arch to get on at first, but after a few times it fits like a glove. I use this boot for my daily training in the winter on the ski area and for ski mountaineering races throughout the winter as well as springtime missions in Colorado. It is so light it feels like a running shoe and the stiffness the boot provides in ski mode is great for the downhills. For a performance race boot or a long distance tour, this is a great choice!

Amazing, light, flexible, and stiff, say what?!

Ok, for a boot with as minimal material as this boot you may expect it to be flimsy and incapable of doing what a ski boot should do. Wrong! I’m once again blown away by the newest rendition of the Alien 1.0. The very first carbon model was pretty fantastic, but this one is like the brother that decided to go to the gym for gaining functional muscle. These boots are almost as light as my running shoes and when switched from walk mode (should be fun mode) to ski mode, the boot is actually surprisingly stiff. Yes, it’s not a downhill alpine boot, but wow, it’s very impressive. The other nice thing is the integrated gaiter, although I never had any issues with my feet getting cold from snow on my first gen aliens, it’s a nice touch. Also the Boa cable is hidden, so no more worrying about getting those kinked or caught. The front part of the cuff is no longer made of carbon which I believe will help it to last longer and keep it from cracking under numerous flexing, opening and closing. The rubber sole is also very nice and grippy when walking in snow and ice, it even feels like it has a light cushiness when walking. The only Con is with the half liner there is still a chance you can get snow on your socks or tights on the upper half of the boot. Overall, I can’t complain, these boots are phenomenal for exactly what they are made for, speed with a decent amount of downhill performance. Scarpa brings us a boot that is a well rounded speed machine.
