When you need maximum sensitivity to trust every surface on steep boulders and comp-style movement, the Furia Air delivers unmatched freedom and control. Built with some of the lightest materials SCARPA has ever used, the Furia Air feels barely there yet still channels power exactly where climbers need it. The soft microsuede upper and split-sole construction encourage natural foot articulation, allowing precise smears, scums, and toe placements on modern volumes and rock textures. The Vibram® XS Grip 2 outsole provides elite friction for dynamic movement, while the DTS-Tension™ system adds subtle forefoot support without compromising flexibility.

Breathable, responsive, and exceptionally sensitive, the Furia Air gives advanced climbers the connection and confidence to move fluidly through complex sequences.

  • Ultralight microsuede upper enhances breathability and offers a barely-there feel for responsive climbing.
  • DTS-Tension™ system adds subtle power to the forefoot while preserving soft flex for smearing and comp-style movement.
  • Vibram® XS Grip 2 outsole delivers high-friction performance on rock and gym surfaces.
  • Split-sole design increases sensitivity and foot articulation for modern bouldering.
  • Soft construction encourages natural movement and boosts trust on slopers and volume features.

The Furia Air provides ultralight sensitivity and freedom of movement for your most dynamic climbs.

Feature PRESSURE ABSORBING FIT (PAF) SYSTEM
PRESSURE ABSORBING FIT (PAF) SYSTEM
PAF (Pressure Absorbing Fit) is an innovative heel system that helps both spread the force of the heel tension and increase the fit of the heel. The Active Rand rubber is interrupted behind the heel to reduce pressure on the achilles tendon and connected with 2mm XS GRIP2 rubber, that works like a bridge and allows full adaption to the shape of the heel while still providing dynamic forward pressure to focus power over the big toe. The holes on the side of the heel indicate the tension applied, which varies between 1 hole for light tens
Feature SURROUND RUBBER TENSION (SRT)
SURROUND RUBBER TENSION (SRT)
SRT is a layer of our ultra-soft M50 rubber that wraps around the forefoot and translates the power directly to the tips of the toes. It also provides maximum friction and sensitivity for toe-hooking. Climbing with soft shoes improves one’s climbing style and naturally strengthens toe power. The total freedom of foot placement stimulates a faster and more dynamic movement on rock or plastic.

    Impressed!

The Scarpa Furia Air is, without question, the softest shoe on the market—an ultra-sensitive slipper that comes as close as you can get to climbing barefoot while still getting performance benefits from rubber. Out of the box, they’re insanely comfortable, with zero break-in period. The fit is secure but forgiving, and the upper materials mold quickly to your feet.

Where the Furia Air really shines is in the gym. Its flexibility and sensitivity make it ideal for volume-heavy routes, board climbing, and training where maximum feedback and comfort are key. Despite how soft they are, they hold their shape surprisingly well over time

Most fun shoe I own, and more durable than you'd think

I love climbing in this shoe. It reminds me of climbing in sneakers. It just feels natural and fun. There are going to be obvious drawbacks with it being such a soft light shoe like less support than an ultra stiff shoe. If you're judging it against other soft shoes though, it's the best I've climbed in. I've owned three pairs now, and I'm always shocked by how long they last. Everyone's experienced will differ here, but I've had great luck with all of my pairs lasting me just as long as any other shoe I wear.

Great for bouldering and training, but questionable for low angled sport climbing. Not just because they aren't the best at tiny edges, but because the lack of support will leave your feet TIRED. Though if you climbed in them all the time then that would likely resolve itself as your feet got stronger.

If you want to venture into high quality soft shoes. This is a great option.

    Love Them But...

I love these shoes for indoor climbing. Super soft and tactile, can really feel the smaller holds which is a huge plus. My only "but" is that I found myself having to size up a full-size basically to even get my foot inside...

Idk, I guess you wear what you wear but going up so much in size through me off. I normally wear a 9.5 and went with a 43.5 in these.

    great shoe

i’ve been using these for 2 months and there are the best shoe for indoors and some outdoor boulder but do not recommend outdoor sport climbing with them but they are really good for volumes but the plastic piece is bigger so it makes it so you can be very comfortable on very small foot holds so best of both worlds so far my favorite shoe
