Caring for your SCARPA Products

SCARPA footwear is the culmination of our rich Italian heritage, innovation, and a genuine love for adventure. Just as you relish every outdoor pursuit, your SCARPA’s crave the right care. Ready to prep them for the next escapade? Here’s how:

From Weekend Grime to Leather Shine

  1. Cleaning the Uppers:
    • First off, remove the laces. They’ve done their part, give them a breather.
    • Using a wet rag or towel, gently cleanse inside and out. For those times when your adventure leaves a mark (or several), turn to the Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel.
  2. Midsole & Outsole Maintenance:
    • Wipe them clean using a soft rag or an old toothbrush. Want to restore that suede texture or clean the lugs? A boot brush is your trusted ally.
  3. Removing Moisture:
    • Had an impromptu date with rain, or waded through a creek? Once you’re back, it’s time to air them out. Position them in a dry spot, away from direct sunlight, unlaced with the upper wide open
  4. For the Love of Leather:
    • Reside in arid climes? Your leather footwear will cherish frequent conditioning.
    • For optimal results, lean on the Nikwax Leather Conditioner.
  5. GORE-TEX® Boot Care:
    • Taking good care of your GORE-TEX® footwear is easy. We’ll show you tips on cleaning your GORE-TEX footwear properly.
    • For optimal results, follow our GORE-TEX® Care Guide.

From Powder Runs to Storage Fun

For those thrilling days on the slopes, your SCARPA ski boots are crucial for both comfort and performance. Following these essential tips will ensure your boots remain in top shape for every adventure:

    1. Dry Your Boots:
      • Dry boots offer better fit, warmth, and overall performance. Wet storage risks liner deformation and odor.
      • Use a boot drier, or remove the liners to dry both inside and out if you don’t have one remove the liners from the shell so they can dry both inside and out.
    2. Re-Buckle Your Boots:
      • After drying, buckle your boots as you would for skiing. This helps maintain their precision fit.
    3. Get a Boot Bag:
      • A boot bag is not just for convenience. It makes transport easier and keeps your boots (and your friend’s car) fresh.
    4. Avoid Direct Sunlight:
      • UV light can degrade the plastics in ski boots. Avoid prolonged exposure by not storing them in bright, sunlit areas.
