Feature DTS-TENSION SYSTEM
DTS-TENSION SYSTEM
The Differentiated Tension System, made possible by the PAF heel, allows us to tension the inside and the outside of the shoe differently enabling us to truly dial in the intended characteristics of a specific model. This unique technology not only transfers power directly to the big toe, it also helps keep the foot in an optimal position for power transfer and laser precision. DTS also ensures that the shoe keeps its shape and intended climbing characteristics throughout its entire lifespan.
Feature PRESSURE ABSORBING FIT (PAF) SYSTEM
PRESSURE ABSORBING FIT (PAF) SYSTEM
PAF (Pressure Absorbing Fit) is an innovative heel system that helps both spread the force of the heel tension and increase the fit of the heel. The Active Rand rubber is interrupted behind the heel to reduce pressure on the achilles tendon and connected with 2mm XS GRIP2 rubber, that works like a bridge and allows full adaption to the shape of the heel while still providing dynamic forward pressure to focus power over the big toe. The holes on the side of the heel indicate the tension applied, which varies between 1 hole for light tension, 2 holes for mid tension and 3 holes for strong tension.

The booster is the perfect granite shoe from tech face to varied cracks

I love the stiff edging abilities of the Boostic, it adds power to the tiniest crystals and holds on with confidence. The Boostic is versatile and performs in all crack sized, even desperate off widths who every inch matters.

    Amazing feel and edging capability

Totally in love with these shoes. The edging capability combined with the feel that these shoes give you put this model in a whole league of their own. These shoes give me insane confidence on any technical face climb. Definitely a specialty shoes that hurts to break in but very worth it once broken in. I wear a size 41.5 in the Instinct VS (aggressive fit) and upsized to a 42.5 in these. Slight room in the heel in this fit but it hasn’t bothered me.

    Amazing eding, stiffness and sensitivity

I use this shoe for everything except indoor bouldering. The best ting about this shoe is how senstive it feels, while at the same time beeing really stiff and stable. It also gives unmatched confidence on tiny edges. While it softens up a bit, the stiffness and shape holds up really well over time. The shoe is also super comfy. I love the soft inside and how it doesn't dig into the achilles. The only drawback is that it doesn't smear all that great. I would love to see a less agressive version of the shoe with better smearing for all-day trad climbing.

Amazing for small outdoor foot holds

I never tried the old boostic and imagine if they were stiffer than the new verison than they were too stiff. Just broke my first pair in and holy moly, they are super comfortable( material inside the shoe is soft, could see myself multipitching in these) wore these the whole time I was at smith rock and wow, those microscopic foot holds felt like ledges. For outdoor climbing they far excelled the instinct vs. glad I didn’t lose hope after trying to wear them in the gym(xsedge is horrible on gym holds)

    New favorite shoes

I’ve loved my instincts for many years, and on a limb decided to try boostics for something a little more supportive. I think these may be my new favorite shoes. Break in time was definitely a bit longer than my instincts, i’m guessing due to the stiffer nature, but the soft insides of this shoe made the break-in progress relatively painless. These shoes are so good at edging that now after climbing on well-worn rubber for so long, I’ve had to retrain my brain to trust my feet more as these allow me to step on edges I couldn’t stick with my old shoes.
