RIBELLE® RUN 2 MEN'S (FALL 2025)

Supportive, stable, comfortable, breathable, quick on and off, cool color, sleek and simple. This is a really versatile shoe that I've used a lot. It's the best Ribelle Run version to date with many great updates. The muted color is great too. I highly recommend this shoe for approaching, cragging, as well as trail running and light scrambling in warmer and dryer conditions.

the super critical foam midsole on this shoe is very unique. I think it has been compressed or something, it is not bouncy like my high end running shoes. I almost missed how amazing this shoe is so am writing this review as a note to others.

I have a a spread of hiking shoes from casual to heavy pack capable (40+ lb packs). I can wear a 45 lb pack on these shoes and they have the most wonderful soft compresssion and actual rebound (unlike my other EVA "fast and light" hiking boots). In addition, this foam doesn't seem to stop in its linearity of range... meaning I do not feel a end to the cushioning as it compresses more.

I notice this all the time now even when not using the heavy pack. It is actually easy to miss how innovative this midsole is for actual trail use. It is like a high end running shoe has been compressed to give a tighter range of motion.

Like others noted, the ribelle run 2 has somewhat poor heel lock. I have one foot with avg heel width and another below avg per a 3d scan. The smaller heel is moving around which has improved with use, but not totally. the speedlacing and upper lace hole position (being a single option) doesn't allow for any correction. The padding on tongue below the speedlock is nice and you can overtighten the shoe without too much discomfort. I do not have this problem in my running shoes.
