Dear SCARPA Community,

We hope that this message reaches you safe and healthy during this difficult time. This is an unprecedented event in most of our lives, but we are confident that we can and will get through it together.

Given the rapidly developing coronavirus situation in the US and Canada, and indeed the world, we here at SCARPA North America (SNA) want to give you some updates about our current state of business. Our top priority is ensuring the safety and wellness of our employees, colleagues and partners, and also taking a proactive and responsible approach to helping in global containment efforts.

Many of you probably know that SCARPA is an Italian brand, with our headquarters and most of our production located in northern Italy where the situation is quite serious. Our colleagues, and increasingly all Italians are taking extensive measures country-wide to help contain and manage the virus. Production at SCARPA Italy is temporarily suspended, and most SCARPA office staff currently are working from home and practicing social distancing.

Here at SCARPA North America, we are currently fully functional, with essential distribution personnel shipping product while practicing social distancing and other coronavirus protective practices, and all of our office personnel are working remotely. SCARPA North America does warehouse product here in Boulder and also in Canada, and our dedicated customer service team will continue to communicate with consumers on each order or inquiry as they come in.

There are a couple of specific steps that we have taken effective immediately:

· We have suspended both in-person order pick-up, as well as in-person drop-off of items (whether warranty, repair or recall) here at SNA (in Boulder, CO). Anything currently waiting to be picked up we are shipping at our expense.

• We have suspended all SCARPA event participation until April 15th, at which time we will re-assess the situation based upon the latest advice and expertise from health officials.

It is clear that decisive and proactive action is needed to combat this pandemic. We have and will continue to give the absolute highest priority to the health and safety of our employees, colleagues and local and global community as we work together to get through this. We encourage everyone to join us in pursuing a very proactive, and serious approach in our efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 during this critical time. We are confident that if we all pull together and exercise our personal responsibility, we will come through this even stronger than we were before.
