Biography
As a kid growing up in Montana along the Canadian border, skiing was my initial pass into the mountains. Then as a teenager, I was introduced to climbing and the world of the greater mountains became a whole new playground. During my early twenties, alpinism was the fire that kept me motivated, but it wasn’t until my introduction to the combination of alpinism and skiing big lines in the remote mountains of the world that I truly found the best of both worlds. Armed with a degree in Photography and a passion for adventure, I created a life of pursuing the most challenging goals I could find. After two decades of exploring and developing first ascents and descents throughout the world’s greatest mountain ranges, I’m happy to spend less time seeking the most difficult of mountain pursuits in favor of sharing my experience with those less skilled. Now as an IFMGA mountain guide living in the heart of the Alps I’m enjoying my expansive backyard and travelling regularly to Morocco, Antarctica, the Himalaya, the Andes and recently the Fjords of Norway and Greenland.
