Biography

Climbing has changed through the years for me. Growing up in Seattle, my origin in climbing was deeply rooted with a type A approach to mountaineering. As I got older, I started to fall away from the need to simply get to the top and put my energy into the style of getting there and the friendships forged in the process. These days when I look to the greater ranges, I think about the people I want to spend time with, and look for opportunities to free climb first ascents. Whether it is with ice tools or rock shoes, my passion lies on the remotest biggest cliffs out there. It’s where I feel the most alive and what I dream about when I go to sleep each night.
