Bi-Tension system is a tensioned rubber wrap reaching down two sides of the shoe. It gives priority to sensitivity and subtle support. Specially adapted to our slightly asymmetrical models, Bi-Tension runs under the front of the toes and draws down along the sides of the foot, leaving the center pad for sensitivity.

A bit more supple than the laced versions and a tad stiffer than the VSR. Only real issue comes from the toe patch delaminating but overall I find it to the most versatile entry of the instinct family.

Past two pairs I've gotten have had roughly a 15-20% difference between the soles thickness in the high use zone(around the big toe).
This means one of the shoes wears out 15-20% sooner:(.
