RUSH TRK LT GTX WOMEN'S

For years, I've been searching for the perfect pair of day-hikers and it looks like my search has (happily) come to an end. I've previously owned several pairs of hiking and mountaineering boots from La Sportiva, Zamberlan, HanWag, Danner and more. As far as a day-hiker/approach-shoe is concerned, the Scarpa Rush TRK LT GTX boots strike the ideal balance of being lightweight and incredibly comfortable but with excellent ankle support and super-grippy Presa outsoles. I'm fortunate to be able to hike several times a week (my house straddles the boundary line of Acadia National Park) mostly on granite, which is often slick and dangerous in wet weather. No matter the conditions, my Scarpa Rush TRK LT GTX's perform flawlessly. They provide confidence and reassuring stability on technical trails and rock scrambles like The Beehive, yet are light and unobtrusive enough to be the ideal companion for gliding over tree roots in the deepest corners of Maine's wilderness. This is my second pair of Scarpa hiking boots (I also own the Scarpa Rush Polar GTX, which is my go-to Winter day-hiking boot) and I can't say enough good things about the Rush product line. I'm a Scarpa customer for life now. Thank you!

I'm use to the narrow European last in my other Scarpa boots Kailish and Kuiu R-Evolution Trek . In these boots I wear size 45 , US 11.5 . In the TRK 44.5 is enormous especially in the front half . I think a 44 would have been fairly close to a perfect fit with minimal socks , but chose to go with the 44.5s and be sure of adequate length . The insoles that come with these are low volume . I replaced them with insoles that were twice the thickness in the toe area , this still gave me some room and good fit with a medium weight sock . These boots are made in Vietnam ( for fat US feet ) so if that's you ,buy them . The heels are still fairly snug , which I like . TRKs are light , but still have a fairly stiff sole for this style of boot . This boot will probably fit many , it's just more room than I'm use to in Scarpa boots , but with the adjustments I've made they will work for me .
