Go to boot for general mountaineering

I love this boot. I use it primarily for shorter winter mountaineering projects and missions where speed and lightness is concerned. I had to size up due to the toe box, something to keep in mind with wider feet. Definitely serves me when speed and agility are concerned in the alpine.

Stiff and lightweight - a real all around performer!

The Ribelle Tech delivers amazing all day support and climbs ice, rock and mixed ground like a boss. The beauty of this boot is that when they get packed away or clipped to the harness for more technical rock pitches, they are super light and don't bog you down.

The new Ribelle Tech hits the mark on all categories it was designed for.

The new Ribelle Tech hits the mark on all categories it was designed for. It is incredibly comfortable, it climbs ice like a competition boot, and it is incredibly light. I used the Ribelle Tech 3HD on Trango Tower where I practically lived in them. They held up to the abuse of almost two full months of walking up miles of scree slopes, climbing everything below 5.10, and even endured the long painful jumars between our portaledge camps to our high point.

Light, flexible, supportive, and comfortable, the new Ribelle Tech 3 HD is the perfect summer boot for climbing in the mountains.

Light, flexible, supportive, and comfortable, the new Ribelle Tech 3 HD is the perfect summer boot for climbing in the mountains. Having lived in them for almost a month, I was really impressed by how well this boot hiked, scrambled, and climbed everything up to 5.10 on the Trango Tower, not to mention all of the snow and ice on the approach or the last 500 ft of mixed climbing to the summit. The Ribelle is durable and versatile enough to handle it all!
