I had previously purchased some Scarpa approach shoes that were extremely comfortable for hiking. Wanted some shoes for walking around urban areas. These EXCEEDED my expectations. Comfortable from the start. Got the same size as for the approach shoes. Fit perfectly. No breaking in needed. Just wish there were more colors for the US market (other than the 2 available)
