    Qualité et confort

    On peut se fier sur la qualité des produits Scarpa. J'ai eu avant ces Scarpa Manta un autre modèle de bottes de randonnée Scarpa que j'ai gardé près de 20 ans. J'ai un pied court et peu de compagnies fabriquent des produits qui me conviennent. Pour moi, c'est le confort garanti.

    I summited Rainer in these. As far as quality, warmth and waterproof they’re solid. My only complaint is that the heel is very shallow and wasn’t the best for descent in snowpack wearing a 70lb pack. Several slips before I threw the micros on.

    Seam on instep vulnerable

    I liked everything about these boots, except for this seam. I went for one hike/scramble with them and the seam was starting to wear and fray. Scarpa kindly offered to exchange them for another model.

    Sizing

    I lucked out and got the right size the first time so hopefully I can help others do the same. That being said, I do have a slightly skinny foot.

    I wear a size 14 in most tennis/running shoes particularly adidas and Nike.

    I wear a 14 in Merrell hiking shoes

    I consistently wear a size 13 in Timberland Pro work boots. Timberland boots fit snug, with just enough room for powestep insoles and a heavy pair of socks in the winter.

    Thorogoods are the same as timberlands sizing in my opinion.

    I purchased a size 49 (14.5 usa) set of the MantaTechs and am very happy with the fit. After adding a set of insoles for arch support, a pair of liner socks and a pair of heavy winter socks, these boots fit exactly as they should.

    I’ve yet to have these out much so durability is still in question but I hope this helps someone in the future!

    a good weekend boot

    while there are better quality boots out there , taking the price point

    into consideration this gets 5 stars .. great overall boot glad i bought it ..

    i only wish they mad models even higher quality made in italy like some

    other companies ,, but again at this price it wins !!
