BOA® FIT SYSTEM

The patented BOA® Fit System consists of three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial, super-strong lightweight laces, and low friction lace guides. Each unique configuration is engineered for effortless precision delivering a connected, fast, customized, and durable fit, and is backed by The BOA® Guarantee. The F1 LT system is an exclusive floating system located under the waterproof fabric cover that contracts downwards on the instep of the liner as the dial is tightened, precisely controlling volume and fit.

3D LAMBDA FRAME

Similar to an i-beam, the 3D Lambda Frame adds raised ribs of Carbon Grilamid® LFT in a specific pattern along both sides of the shell. This design significantly increases strength, durability and torsional rigidity with minimal added weight. The 3D Lambda Frame improves responsiveness and overall performance, allowing you to focus on the terrain, and not your boots.

SCARPA Ski Sizing Chart

All SCARPA ski boots use Mondo sizing.

SCARPA ski boots break on the half size, this means that a half size shares the same shell length as the whole size above it but the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. For example, a 25.5 and 26.0 are the same shell size but the respective liners come pre-molded to the half size.

Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

Best all around touring boot for the backcountry.

This is the best all around touring boot for the backcountry that I have used. This versatile boot has the comfort and flex needed for extended days in the backcountry and stability/confidence to control a variety of skis on the descents. I have skied this boot on 88 to 107 width skis in all types of conditions. I like the easy transition between walk and ski mode. For my wider forefoot, I did have to mold the liner to get the perfect fit, but that was a quick and easy process at the local ski shop and after that I was good to go for extended days with happy feet and awesome turns.

    Go to for 85-95mm skis

These are my go to boots for 85-95mm skis. They are a great blend of uphill and downhill performance. Furthermore they hold up to the test of time and the performance doesn’t fade as it does with many boots.

    Dream boot

Exactly what I have been looking for, they check every box. One ankle has needed titanium parts implanted and the boot liner heat molded to it like a glove. And so light compared to the old ones.

If the slipper fits, snag a pair!

    Scarpa F1 LT review:

I had the unusual situation of having an F1 (size 27.5) and an F1 LT (size 28) side by side. Since I didn’t want to actually go on a tour with one boot of each (although I considered it!), I walked around my house and stairs mismatched and toured roughly 25 days in the F1 and 10 days in the F1 LT.

One of my larger gripes about the F1’s is their difficulty to slip on. I have to jam my foot in there and then fix the out-of-order plastic tongue flap overlaps. Not so with the LT’s; it was a smooth entry and the overlap is greatly simplified.

Range of motion is quite similar, but I could squeeze just a bit more out of the LT’s. Might be irrelevant since that never seemed to limit me with the F1’s. They feel great uphill.

The downhill performance is remarkably good for how slipper like these are. The LT’s (and the original F1’s) are every bit as stiff as I’d like but in my opinion, it's not a super progressive flex. I haven't tried other boots in this weight class so it's hard to say how it'd stack up, but I'd assume similar if not superior.

The LT’s liner and upper shell does come up a touch higher than the original F1’s, which I like for more support. May not work with the calf on some folks.

Perhaps its the difference in sizing, but my original F1’s are much more tight on the top of my foot and I would get hotspots (though not blisters) from pressure on my achille’s heel, just above the heel pocket of the boot. These wouldn’t bother me…
